Michael Murphenko (Murphy) was born in Scotland (Glasgow, November 16, 1974), grew up in Australia. He studied art in Australia and Belgium.  In 1997 Michael moved to Ukraine and took the pseudonym Murphenko. 

Combined with the European school of art, exposure to the Slavic culture added to Michael’s artistic style a unique intonation – at the same time intellectually convincing and sensual.

Michael lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine.
